Smarter Internet out of Polaris in Greater Springfield

Springfield City Group together with its $250m Polaris Data Centre has teamed with VostroNet to run internet services. VostroNet’s Patrick Gallagher says the company has successfully redesigned how the Internet Service Provider deploys its network to deliver higher speed, quality and affordability.

By owning their high-speed fibre network and partnering with competitively priced retailers, he says they connect customers to lightning-fast internet. “Springfield is a perfect match for our network footprint growth as we specialise in deployments of our fibre to residential towers, student accommodation, retirement living precincts and public spaces which require additional technical expertise and innovative solutions.” Mr Gallagher told Springfield City Group. “Our footprint extends into the most advanced data centres in Australia and New Zealand covering major hubs thus Polaris was logical.”

Head of data centres for Springfield City Group (SCG), Adam Gibson said a state government grant awarded to VostroNet and supported by SCG has allowed VostroNet to set up shop in Polaris. “We were very happy to assist VostroNet as part of the successful Advance Queensland strategy of the Queensland government”, said Adam. “Polaris is one of Australia’s leading data centres and we look forward to working with this new technology.”
